Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; And to knowledge, temperance; and to temperance, patience; and to patience, godliness; And to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This has been an awesome week in terms of my health report in the core areas: spiritual, soul and body. God is just so amazing and He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Here is the rundown of my report:
Spiritual
I submitted a prayer request to our Father concerning a very important matter in my life. How did He respond? He sent the Word to me, 2 Peter 1, to add to my faith. In other words, I must have faith, but I must also add something to it because FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD. So I took heed of this message and added to my faith, virtue, knowledge, self control, patience, godliness, kindness and love. I received instruction to send a follow-up email to someone, regarding my request, and after exchanging several emails, filled with patience, kindess, knowledge and virtue, today I received a response that is a step closer to receiving the manifestation of that which I have prayed for. You see, I added to my faith the ingredients that the Word tells us to add. When our Father orders your steps, follow His instructions. He knows better than anything or anyone, where He is leading you and what the outcome will be.
Soul
My soul is happy just basking in all of the goodness of the Lord. I spent some time alone reflecting on how far I've come and where I'm headed. Whenever those moments of self doubt try to creep in, I just stop and reflect on what I know, that I know, that I know about God's love, grace and mercy that He has for me. And my soul rejoices. Sometimes you just have to stop and reflect on those moments. Never let self doubt or self defeat take up residence in your mind or your heart. If they come by to visit, tell them that you're busy and that you have already have guests, love, grace and mercy. So there is no room for doubt and defeat.
Physical
I am continuing my exercise routine. I am now on week 4 of the c25k running plan. I had to repeat week 2 after I tweaked my muscle, but I wanted to complete it in its entirety; hence the repeat. But let me tell you, I can really see a difference in my endurance and overall health. I'm not tired like I used to be. When running, I sometimes go beyond what the running plan says to do. For instance, if the plan says to run for 3 mins, then walk for 3 mins, I will continue running instead of stopping to walk. That is a great feat for me and I must admit that I am very proud of myself.
In terms of eating habits, I'm getting there, slowly but surely. For the first time in about 2 months, I had some fast food, a chicken sandwich and fries. Amazingly, it was NOT satisfying at all to my tastebuds. But it was the closest thing that I could get to in the amount of time that I had to get it, so I had to make due.
Also, I can tell the difference in my clothes. There is more and more slack in them, including my belt. But, I've decided to wait until around Christmas to purchase some new clothes; not a lot, but just enough to get through because I will continue on this journey and will eventually need a whole new wardrobe. As for my belt, there are just two more notches to tighten, then I will either need to add another notch in order to tighten the belt or just purchase a new belt.....lol I think I'll just purchase a new one.
Now tell me what is happening in your Fitness Friday Report.
