Today is FRIDAY...GOOD FRIDAY!
I know that today's post is suppose to be about Fitness Friday and it will be. Remember that my Fitness Friday reports include being 'fit' (healthy) spirit, soul and body. Therefore, the posts will be inclusive of all of them.
Let's begin with the physical report. If you noticed from the Wordless Wednesday post, I lost 3 lbs in the first week. I am excited about that because each pound lost is a step towards victory for me. I'm not going to get caught up in 'having to' lose X amount of weight each week, because I don't want to be disappointed if that doesn't happen. My goal here is to ensure that the I see a decrease in weight each week that I step onto that scale regardless of the amount lost.
As for physical activities, I did some walking, but no running. I am working my way back into getting back out there and turning it up a notch. Next week, it's on.
Now for the soul report,
laughter is good for the soul and I am excited that Tyler Perry's new movie, Madea Big Happy Family, hits the big screen this weekend. So looking forward to take in some good nonstop laughter. The play was excellent so I have high expectations for the movie.
On to the spiritual report. This I am the most excited about because it is the commemorative celebration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. I am always on a spiritual high around this time because of the sacrifice that He made for me. It is why I feel the way I do, why I believe the way I do, why I talk the way that I do.
This momentous occasion is the foundation of the Christian faith. Jesus sacrificed His life so that we may live. His death, burial and resurrection were because of His love for us. He came so that we might have life abundantly. How we live should be a reflection of the sacrifice that He made. There is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend.
So, let me ask you this question, is your life a representation of what He had in mind for you? Are you living a life that glorifies His sacrifice?

As for your question, I try everyday but always fall short of of His glory. I'm a work in progress in that area too.

ReplyDeleteWe all fall short, but our gift to Him should be to 'rise' up and not be defeated, much in the same way that He did it.

ReplyDelete@Deb, I truly believe that in order to walk in our destiny, then we must be healthy in all three area of our being. In my opinion, if one of them is out of order, then there is no total fulfillment.
