Procrastination....Why???

This has been quite an exuberating weekend filled with festivals, parades, dinners, etc. A fabulous way to end one month and begin the next one.

Some other things happened as well. More self awareness, of course. Hey, you know me...

I woke up this morning with a million and one things running through my mind. It seemed as if my mind was in some kind of whirlwind. I was really restless and couldn't understand it at first, because it seemed like I was just all over the place. And this was not a good thing at all.

Have you ever felt like there was just too much going on, to much to do, in too little time? That is how I felt when I woke up this morning.

So, I reached for my planner to see if I was missing something or had forgotten something. And guess what I discovered instead? It turns out that I had not forgotten anything or was missing anything. It was just the opposite, have a lot going on. My plate is full right now.

Currently, I have 7 projects under way, with deadlines and target dates fast approaching. And another project set to begin tomorrow. Whew!! It's no wonder my mind was all over the place. When I begin projects, I write them down along with the dates, and then I go from there. It's not until that due date is fast approaching, that I began to get restless as I did last night. That was because 2 of those projects are due next week and a 3rd one the following week.

Procrastination is a big problem for most people, but has always served me well. I have always been one of those people who seem to work better when I'm under pressure to get things done by a certain time. And the closer it gets to that time, the better I am able to focus on it.

I don't know why I do this to myself! Maybe because it gives me fever. It revs up that energy and gets that adrenaline flowing. Yes, let's go with that answer......

Are you a procrastinator? Do you work well under deadline pressures? What gets your adrenaline flowing?
