The Law of Attraction: A Biblical Principle- The Basic

Now that we have the intro and the terminology out of the way, let's get into the heart of this discussion on the Law of Attraction and the Bible.

God versus the Universe
First thing first. I've heard quite a few people get upset or 'a little testy' whenever they hear someone else speak of or refer to the "universe" giving to them what they desire. And many of these same people are from different religious faith, including Christianity. I know because I used to be one of them who didn't like it when others referred to God as the universe. I used to think that it was their way of minimizing God somehow.

But, the more I learned the Bible, the more I realized that it was not the case at all. So, I released all of that and here's why.

Since the beginning of time, God has always been the Creator of all things. So, actually, there is no God 'versus' the universe. God created all things, including the universe. Remember that the universe is defined as the totality of everything that exists, including all physical matter and energy. God created that. Here are all of the scriptures to support this. By the way, all scriptures are from the King James Version, unless otherwise noted.

Hebrews 1:2  (NLT)
And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.

Hebrews 11:3 (NLT)
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

Isaiah 44:24
Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself

Jeremiah 51:19
The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name.

John 1:3
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Law of Attraction
Now that we've clarified that God created ALL things, let's lay out the basic premise of the law of attraction.

Ask + Believe + Receive = Manifestation

Biblical Principle (Mark 11:23-24)
23) For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Therefore, the basic premise of this Biblical Principle is:

Ask + Believe + Receive = Manifestation

Did you notice that both of the premises are the same? They are indeed the same and here is how they break down:

Ask = Desire + Thoughts + Feelings + Speaking

Believe = Having Faith + Letting Go

Receive = Acting as if + Gratitude

I am going to spend some time on each of these, a post dedicated to each one. In addtion to that, I am going to discuss the keys that really unlocks quicker manifestation of this principle which is Love, Gratitude, Forgiveness, Releasing Toxins (attitudes, thoughts, people, etc). And of course, I have scriptures to fully support each one as they are all discussed throughout the Bible.

In the next post, we will begin to discuss how we ask for things to come into our lives, just by what we think about. Your thoughts are much more important than you realize and you'll begin to become more aware of them. So stay tuned.
