Returning to Happiness

Today is March 1st, the third month into this new year. How many items have you been able to check off of your GOAL list? How many are you currently working on?

As for me, there are several new things under way. I didnt have a Goal list for 2012 because my lists coincides with the anniversary date of the blog which is in June. So, I'll update on the status of my lists then.

On the blog, for the month of March, I want to focus on happiness. Not just what appears to be happiness on the outside, but really being happy on the inside. You know, that soul happiness. And I'm going to start by making a list of things that make me happy and for those things that I haven't done in a while, I'm going to do them; especially the ones that won't cost me a lot of money right now.....lol

Here are some of the things that will be on that list:

1. Ride a bike. I loved doing this but havent done it in years, even though my Mom gave me one three years ago for Christmas. It's time to tear off the price tag, air up the tires, strap on the helmet and get on that bike.

2. Go and eat a nice meal including appetizer, entree and desert at my favorite restaurant without worrying about how many calories are in the meal.

3. Spend an entire day doing absolutely nothing except watching all of my favorite 'girlie' movies, including Sex & The City, See Jane Date, Sweet Home Alabama, Something New, Disappearing Act, etc. These kind of movies just make me all giddy on the inside. Love & friendship are beautiful things.

4. Go dancing at least once a week for the entire month. I love how dancing makes me feel, so alive and carefree.

5. Connect with an old friend who knows how to keep me laughing. I haven't heard from or seen this person in what seems like forever. They are really going to be surprised.

There are more things on the list and I'm sure that more will be added as the month progresses. And I'm challenging you to do the same. Make a list of things that make you happy, no matter how big or small you think they are. Then begin to do as many of them as you are able to. And keep us posted on your state of happiness.

Life is what we make it to be. And as long as we're not doing whatever it is that makes us happy, we're not really living. It's time to live more, laugh out loud and love like never before.
