Today, after getting home at around 4:30 a.m. this morning, I slept, yet I was up and ready for church at 9:00. I am just so excited about everything that is happening in my life. I like being in a state of gratitude because it causes me to be more aware of even the smallest things that happen in my life.
I think that I will continue the gratitude journal (but not on this blog), even after these 30 days.
Here are at least 5 of the things that I am grateful for today:
1) An extension to the Love Your Life Summit audio and video recordings. This will allow me to catch up on the ones that I missed throughout this week. There were several that I missed, but God is always on top of things. And now, access to all of the recordings has been extended.
2) Attending church service this morning and our Pastor basically repeated (confirmed) the conversation that my girl friend and I had as we were leaving the group coaching session with Lisa Nichols last night. We hung around the hotel after that session, until about 4:00 a.m. this morning, just on a NATURAL HIGH from the goodness of GOD.
3) For the generosity that my girlfriend extends to me. And she goes out of her way to do it, just pureness in her heart.
4) For God continuing to teach me the "art of receiving". This still makes me a little uncomfortable at times, but I have grown in that area, a lot. Thank you Father, for all that You give, and all that I receive.
5) Speaking of receiving, just the other day, I was expressing the fact that this was the first summer, in many years, that I didn't have a trip PLANNED already and I was in need of a vacation. Well, guess what happened? I was extended an invitation to go on a mini-vacay in Orlando, FL next weekend. This excursion is all expenses paid, including a ticket to the concert and VIP passes to backstage and the private party for artists who are performing. Did I mention that this is FREE for me? Yayyyyyyyyy!!! My bags are already packed......
This gratitude journal has really made me more aware of even the smallest things that are somtimes taken for granted. We shouold give thanks for ALL things, no matter how big or small they are. God gets the glory for them all.
Besides, the more you are grateful and live in a state of gratitude, the more you open the door for even more amazing things in your life. So, what are you grateful for today?
