The Law of Attraction: A Biblical Principle- Feelings

Ask= Thoughts + Feelings + Speaking

In the last post, we discussed how our thoughts are like magnets that attracts to us, the very things that we think about. As we continue with discussions on the Law of Attraction and the Bible, we will now move on to the next component of the ASK equation, which is, FEELINGS.
Our feelings are like adding fuel to the fire. When we associate feelings to our thoughts, we are now adding the spark that make our thoughts ignite and result in manifestation. Our feelings, just like our thoughts produce energy and send our vibrational signals that attracts matching signals and return them to right back to us.

As a recap, each person has an average of about 60,000 thoughts per day. But not every one of those thoughts are manifested, which is a great thing. However, the thoughts that we think about repeatedly and focus on repeatedly, are the ones that are manifested.
The reason that this is so is because, the more we have those particular thoughts, there are usually some kind of emotion associated with those thoughts (love, hate, happiness, sadness, guilt, anger, joy, excitement, worry, shame, jealousy, envy, etc). So, the more you have a focused thought about something and the more you feel those emotions, with that thought, the more you will attract into your life whatever it is you have been focusing on.

From the Scriptures
Now, the Bible tells us to be careful of the feelings that we allow into our hearts, for they are far more important than we may realize. And like our thoughts, our emotions are seeds that we sow and receive a like-harvest from them. Here are some scriptural references about the importance of how you feel and becoming more aware of your emotions:

Proverbs 4:23
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life

Proverbs 3:13 (AMP)
Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is the man who finds skillful and godly Wisdom, and the man who gets understanding [drawing it forth from God's Word and life's experiences]

Proverbs 17:22 (AMP)
A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones

Luke 6:45 (NLT)
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

Colossians 3:23 (AMP)
Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men

James 3:16 (AMP)
For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.

Hmmmmm! What's in your heart?

Emotions & Experiences
Recently, I read the book, Infinite Possibilities, written by Mike Dooley and there was a passage in there about emotions that I want to share with you:

Our emotions color our every experience; without them, what would matter? NOTHING! If it weren't for emotions, what would we pursue? What would motivate us? What would we care about? NOTHING! Our emotions are rich with rewards and lessons and the good ones are worth slogging through the bad ones to receive those benefits....Emotions give our lives meaning and reason.

"Our emotions color our every experience." I want to take that a step further and say that our emotions come from a place of experience. By this, I mean that some how or some way, we've had an emotion that was tied to an experience. That experience is imbedded in our minds and hearts and let us know how to feel.

If the experiences were good, produced good emotions in your heart, hold on to them. You want to feel more of that and bring more of those feelings into your life.

However, if those experiences were not so good, and you have bad feelings as a result of thinking about them or something similar to them, then release them and let them go. Those bad feelings will only cause you to experience more of the same, even if the experience is different or with different people.

For example, A relationship that is filled with lots of love, laughter, fun times, trust and faithfulness, will make the heart flutter, makes one feel excited and puts joy in one's soul. You know about this experience, whether you've had, you saw it, heard about it or even read about it. The point is, you know that there is a good feeling associated with this kind of relationship.

On the other hand, a relationship that is filled with arguments, unfaithfulness, distrust, crying, sadness, no peace whatsoever, will make one not trust anyone, make them angry, sad and depressed. Whether you have experienced this through first hand experience, you saw it, heard about it, or read about it, you are familiar with the feelings associated with this type of relationship. The point is, even if you don't want to experience that again, if you continue to associate those feelings with relationships, you will only attract more of the same to you.

To sum that up, whatever feelings you associate with an experience, and you continue to have those feelings about that experience, you will continue to attract those types of experiences.

So, if you want to attract good things into your life, let good things rule your heart. Your feelings should be in alignment with all that is RIGHT. Be in a place of righteousness, with your mind and in your heart, will most certainly bring all RIGHT things into your life.

Feel good so that you will atttract more of what makes you feel good.

That is the Law of Attraction. That is a Biblical principle.
