In Three Days: Happy Resurrection Day

[Genesis 1:5 NIV] God called the light "day" and the darkness "night." And evening (night) passed and morning came, marking the first day.

For those who may still be trying to figure out the '3 days' from Fri-Sun of the
death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, perhaps this
will help.

Some count the days from Sundown (darkness) - Sundown (darkness). Even to this day, in our time, a new day is counted and measured at 12:01 a.m. (what we consider to be mid-NIGHT, but is really the beginning of a new day). They are right because God has always considered the day to begin in the evening (night), and then the morning.

So with that in mind, here is how those 3 days were counted.

Day 1- Thursday evening/night (our time-12:01 am) - Friday evening/night (our time 12:00 midnight) , which is why we have Good Friday as the day He was crucified.

Day 2- Friday evening/night (our time-12:01 am) - Saturday evening/night (our time-12:00 midnight)

Day 3- Saturday evening/ night (our time- 12:01 am) - Sunday evening/night (our time- 12:00 midnight) He rose on Sunday morning.

I hope that this helps and you will able to answer it the next time someone asks why you believe this and how do you get 3 days out of it.
