30-Day Gratitude Journal- Day 18

The Doubletree by Hilton hotel that we're staying in really nice. It is located right across the street from the entrane to Universal Studios. But it would be even nicer if it had wireless internet available throughout the entire hotel resort instead of just the lobby. I cannot believe that with a resort of this size, the guest have to go down to the lobby to access the internet. So, the information on their website about high-speed internet in the rooms, is inaccurate.

And we checked with the lobby, just to make sure that we had not misunderstood this.

But despite this disapponting fact, I am still ever grateful for so many more things, such as:

1) Tammy's Hot spot 4G wireless internet on her T-Mobile phone, so that wireless internet was accessible to us, in our hotel room.....yeah o.k.

2) Free VIP passes to the Juneteenth Concert featuring Tank and Atlantic Star. Absolutely fantastic. Atlantic Star put on a great show and it took me back to my high school daze. Now, I just need to find one of their greatest hits CD's. Oh yeah, Tank put on a great show, too. He passed out money to some of the women in the crowd, as reimbursements for getting their hair and nails done. He said that a woman should NOT have to pay to get her own hair and nails done.....I hear ya Tank.

3) Enjoying spending time with my cousin and his family. His wife was the event coordinator of the whole event and his mother-in-law is the founder and owner of the Wells Built Museum.

4) The wisdom and knowledge of our history that I learned from FL State Rep. Geraldine Thompson (my cousin's mother-in-law). She shared a lot of historical information with us.

5) The beautiful sunny weather here in Orlando, FL. It was HOTTT, but thank God that the concert was under a covered pavilion.

So, how was your weekend so far? What'd ya do? Where'd ya go? Who'd ya see?
